오늘은 '독해' 중에 다양한 질문에

대한 부분입니다.

 

2.3 Factual/Negative Factual Information Questions (틀린것 찾기, 맞는 것 찾기)

- Factual : major ideas, supporting details, definitions

- Negative : Not, Except

Tip :) 

- Don't select an answer just because it contains words or phrases from the paragraph.

(문단에 해당되는 단어나 문장이 나왔을때, 바로 답을 고르지 마라)
- Negative factual information questions :

Answer is either not in the paragraph, or it contradicts information in the paragraph.

(부정을 고르는 질문에는 문단에 나오지도 않고 문단과 대조되는 것을 골라라)

- 책을 읽고 난 후 짤막하게 중요한 문장을 써보아라.

 

 

C는 문단에 나와있지 않은 내용이며,

A는 답이 맞는 것 처럼 보인다. 맨 뒤에 단락과 같은 내용이다.

하지만, 1980년대에 대한 내용이므로 1990년대의 내용은 틀리다.

D는 meteorite 대신에 crater가 되어야 하므로 틀리다.

답은 B

 

Key word를 살펴본다. dust, sunlight, cold, dark ...

A는 blocked the sunlight

B는 중간부분에 Cold and darkness

C는 관련 단어가 없어보인다(crust, element)

D는 nitric acid가 있음

답은 C

 

2.4 Inference and Rhetorical Purpose Questions (추론)

 

Inference questions : infer, impllies, suggests 등  포함되어있음

사실에 대한 내용이 직접적으로 나오지 않음. 그래서 바로 답을 쓰지 말고

잘못된 대답을 지워나가는 것이 좋음.

 

 

답은 C. 두번째 단락에 대한 내용임.

 

Rhetorical Purpose Questions : 추론문제와 같으나 지엽적인 정보가 속해있음.

 

 

답은 C

 

- Tip : Skmming (Reading quickly to identify major points)

  첫 문장을 읽고 중간은 앞 부분만, 마지막 문장을 읽는 방법

- To illustrate, to explain, to contrast, to refute, to note, to support
